The prepaid debit card exclusively for credit union members
Members of the Manx Credit Union are eligible to apply for an Engage Classic Card. This is a pre-paid VISA card that works in the same way a normal bank card and can be used in shops, to pay bills and make online purchases. You can also use it to draw cash at ATMs.
As it is a prepaid card, there is no overdraft facility; you can only spend what is loaded onto the account – helping you to keep control of your finances.
Engage is ideal for you if:
You don’t have a bank account.
You want to have your wages or benefits paid into an account and have access to them immediately.
You want to be able to manage your finances and budget easily.
You want a safe and convenient way to spend your money at home or abroad.
You have a poor credit history (no credit check necessary).
You want to shop on the high street, online or by telephone but don’t have a payment card.

What you should know:
The Engage Classic Card is issued by Contis Financial Services Limited exclusively to credit union members. Contis Financial Services Limited is authorised by the UK Financial Conduct Authority to issue eMoney. Engage is an electronic money product and is not covered by the UK Financial Services Compensation Scheme.
It is free to apply for an Engage Classic Card but there are some charges associated with its use. These include a £2 monthly charge for use of the card and £0.75 fee for withdrawing cash from ATMs in the UK and Isle of Man (requesting cashback with your shopping is free of charge).
You can’t set up direct debits, but standing orders are available.
Cashback rewards on product purchases are not usually available through Isle of Man stores.
